Petroleum
Consulting &
Joint Interest
Auditors |
Malone Petroleum
Consulting & Joint Interest Auditors recovers millions
of dollars for its clients. Its two largest client recoveries-
$60 million and $18 million-had already been audited and missed.
It has had over one thousand findings in some audit reports,
and has even obtained a credit for an entire well's drilling
charges for a client. An interesting recovery was $5.2 million-but
it only reviewed $2.4 million in cost. The company performs
beneficial audits of acquisitions, blowouts, contracts, expenses,
legal, non-consents, payouts, and revenues. The owner is Robert
P. Malone, who was trained by a major oil company in the oil
field and who is known as the "auditor's auditor."
He is a Council of Petroleum Accountants Societies expert
and is considered one of the best auditors in the world.
Externally, Joint Interest Auditors is a
proven, valuable profit and information center for management.
It has always been a wise policy to audit investments in order
to improve profitability by recovering and precluding incorrect
overcharges from outside operators.
Internally, Malone Petroleum Consulting provides
services, either on a day rate and/or contingency basis, in
order to reduce client losses that happen in every organization
resulting in significant, cumulative losses. MPC has learned
from the best in the industry. |
The organization would not begin
to be what it is today without the genius and support
of certain individuals-Jim Boney, Dexter Earl Brown,
Barry Cohen, Robert A. Giroir, Olga Dubois Malone, Daniel
A. Nelis, Lee A. Perry, Leigh Prieto, and Stephen Tredennick.
Malone has a favorite story: ARCO was a
very big client and Malone had never met J. R. Ashley,
who was ARCO's director of joint interest audit. So
Malone called Ashley and asked to meet him. Ashley said,
"I don't want to meet you, Bob, because in my mind,
you leap tall buildings! If I meet you, I will see that
you are fat and ugly and it will destroy my image of
you." Malone said, "I think you are serious."
Ashley said, "Yes, I am very serious." (Malone
and Ashley did meet much later.)
Malone, who is a certified fraud examiner,
worked directly with Raymond Plank, president of Apache.
The audit hit the front page of the Wall Street Journal
and Apache's stock went up after the article was published.
MPC is located at 12651 Briar Forest #165,
